The Hugo Smyth Memorial Classic
The Hugo Smyth Memorial Classic has been created to not only celebrate Hugo’s life but to remind us all of the importance of developing lifesaving skills, on and off the sand. In Hugo’s honour, it is our intention to raise funds to help develop water safety and first aid skills beyond the surf community. It is our belief that everyone should know how to perform CPR.
The carnival’s format will be based around several events including board relays , ironman events, a 2km soft sand run, and the main event “Hugo’s Island Classic” which will consist of a paddle around little Muttonbird Island. Competition will take place at the Southern end of Park Beach.
